How can I stop the spam accounts trying to add me on Yahoo profile?
Today I've had over 100 emails, most of which are spam yahoo accounts trying to add me on their profiles. Any way of stopping this as it's annoying!

Answer 1 :
Use the Filters in your email to filter out what you don't want and if one does get through just press the spam button and it will be moved to spam every time you get one from that sender.
Answer 2 :
Since more than a week quite a few users have reported the same problem, it seems to be a new way of spamming, where once you accept the connection, the user posts the link to a pornography site. Be very careful, since such websites have been known to plant all sorts of malware on your harddrive! What you can do is this: 1: Go to "My Activity" at the top of this page, click "Edit My Preferences" -> click "Privacy and Communication". Scroll down and click "don't share my updates", hit submit. 2: On the mail screen click "options", at the top of the list unmark "enable updates", click "save changes" at the upper left. That may not stop all requests immediately, but it will slow them down considerably!
Answer 3 :
Here are several suggestions----that, "In most cases, should" stop them. Use whichever one works for you (or it might take all three) Just disable "updates" in your mail settings. Mail page>>options>>mail/more options>>>>>AND UNCHECK the button next to "enable updates". Then click "save changes" at the top of the page. You should also go to your Pulse page, and UNCHECK "share my updates"----then scroll to and click "save" (bottom of page). http://pulse.yahoo.com/y/settings/updates *************************** Another suggestion I found (from the Yahoo Answer Team): Mouse over your Hi Name (top left), and click on "Profile" to open your Pulse page. On that page click on "settings" (top right). Scroll to "Notifications" and click on "manage email notifications". Then check the "NO box on Invites" Click "Done".

How do I delete my Facebook account rather than just inactivate it?

How do I delete my Facebook account rather than just inactivate it?
I don't have time to keep up with my facebook account and wish to delete it (it is currently inactivated) I cannot find any obvious and easy way of removing it and all my details. Surely the owners don't make it deliberately difficult to delete personal information.

Answer 1 :
you use to be able to close it, try email the fb owners
Answer 2 :
all you have to do is click on the last option in settings and click deactivate account thats all you have to do.
Answer 3 :
I think deactivating means also your account will be lost. Just enter in the correct security passwords. On the right side of the site there is a "Account" drop-down menu. Click it and go to Account Settings. Click the deactivate on the Deactivate Account portion. That should be all.
Answer 4 :

Answer 5 :
Go to your account settings and click on deactivate account. Ir contact facebook to delete your account permantly.
Answer 6 :
This very point was covered by "Computeractive" Magazine (it's a UK computer magazine) in the issue of 19. March - 1. April 2009 (p43). This is what the magazine said: (1) Got a Facebook account and want to get rid of it? For most people, the first step would be to click the Settings button on the Facebook menu bar and then click on the Deactivate link at the bottom of the settings list. However, this doesn't actually remove the account - instead, it puts it into cold storage, preserving all the settings and personal information in case anyone has a change of heart. Lots of people don't fancy the idea of having that info tucked away somewhere, just in case. (2) To completely delete a Facebook account, use the browser's Back button to return to the main Facebook page and then click the Help link. When the page opens, type 'delete' into the search box at the top and then press Return. After a moment, Facebook will display a set of instructions that explain what to do and what happens to the account. Read these carefully and then proceed by clicking the 'here' link at the end of the paragraph. (3) At the next screen, click the Submit button to continue and then at the next screen, type in the password associated with the account that's going to be deleted and then type in the required capture words. This is now the last chance to cancel. Still want to delete the Facebook account? Click the Okay button and after a moment the Permanently Delete Account dialogue box appears. Click Okay to finish up. Note that Facebook still retains the data for a further 14 days. Don't log on during that period and on day 15 the data gets zapped - forever. That's what "Computeractive" Magazine said about deleting a Facebook account. I've never been on Facebook, so I haven't tried these instructions, but I have been told that they do actually work. "Computeractive" advice is very reliable. Best of luck.
Answer 7 :
Login to your Facebook account, click Help Center on the bottom right hand corner. You will then be taken to Facebook Help Center Page. On the search field, type "delete account" then a list of FAQs will come out. Find "How do I permanently delete my account?" and click to expand. Then click on the last word on the second paragraph and follow the steps from there. (for some reason, I can't post an active link here) After going through the deletion process, it will take another 14 days for your account to be completely and permanently deleted. Do not login during those 14 days, on the 15th day your account will be gone permanently. Spread the word. Ridding the world of Facebook, one account at a time!

Answer 1 :
no you can't transfer them, your old points are history.
Answer 2 :
Sorry, you're not able to transfer points, Q&A history, or any of that. It stays attached to your old account forever.
Answer 3 :
You can't, Y!A doesn't allow that. :o)
Answer 4 :
This can't be done at all. You can't transfer everything from your old account to new one. You'll just have to start from scratch. Simple as that.
