How can I deposit money into my bank account at this time?

How can I deposit money into my bank account at this time?
Hi it's 19.46pm I have a wad of cash on me but no money whatsoever in my bank account. I need to buy something online today and have it delivered by tomorrow (special deliveries obviously). Is there anyway I can get my papercash into my bank account at this time? My bank is lloyds tsb, I'm willing to travel all over this city ( Manchester, UK) to get it done.
Personal Finance - 2 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
If you have an ATM card you should be able to make the deposit at any Lloyds bank with an ATM. However, the money may not be credited to your account until tomorrow since it is after 2:00 pm and most banks hold all transactions made after 2:00 pm until the next day.
Answer 2 :
I don't know lloyds that well, i'm with HSBC. My bank has a machine where you can deposit cash for instant credit. i don't know if lloyds do this. but, i dont think you can have it delivered by tomorrow anyway... It's past last post.

What is the most effective job hunting strategy?

What is the most effective job hunting strategy?
I am a PhD graduates in Finance who is graduated from top 5 university in the UK. I would like to work in Finance/Management/Accounting/Research/Non-profit industries. What is the most effective job hunting strategy?
Other - Careers & Employment - 3 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Job hunt all week and make sure you have fun to do at the weekend. Job hunt like it is your job, if you get me. Get up on time, do the job of job hunting (plenty of things to do like make a good CV for each company), finish at a set time, water plants, cook food, eat, relax, walk the dog (or someone elses for a small fee)...
Answer 2 :
1) Hire a "head hunter" who, for a fee, will look for jobs for you. He has good networking system already. He knows which company will be in need of your services. 2) Submit your resume or bio-data on "on line" job centers. Then, you just wait until someone is interested in you.
Answer 3 :
Ask everyone who employs the position you want to give you a job. There are heaps of jobs available - the only reason you don't have the one you want, is that you have not told enough people yet.

How old does an unfamiliar account on CE have to be before you consider it probably not a troll?
A month old? 2009 date of opening? Is it a troll if the account has only been in CE? Scooter -- who runs this site?

Answer 1 :
Who knows? Any poor genuine person who opens an account is automatically treated as a troll by the people who 'run this site' - at least we know you are a troll and I can guess which one! EDIT: Me name names? I would have to kill you - LOL
Answer 2 :
Familiar ones can be trolls too.
Answer 3 :
a trolls a troll old or new!
Answer 4 :
There are users on this site, the whole answers site who are trolls or i consider them as a such even though they have thousands of points and an account of over a year. If you deliberately set out to start a flame war you're a troll. Some of the stuff i say might be nasty or outrageous, but i believe in what i say and i don't say it lightheartedly. My opinion isn't a joke and i try to treat others opinions with the same respect.
Answer 5 :
I only consider new accounts who act like trolls to be trolls - benefit of the doubt and all that.

How do you choose a good accountant to go to?

How do you choose a good accountant to go to?
We have a small business and need accounting services how do we find a good one?
Small Business - 4 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
all the accountants Ive used are crappy, you ask them for advice and they give you options and you have to make up your own mind in the end. Your business needs to grow before you can afford a decent accountant. At the moment I use myaccountant.co.uk and they seem fairly decent.
Answer 2 :
Most accountants will give at least a 15 minute "free" consultation, you should look for one who has experience in doing accounts for your kind of business. You will know by the questions they ask and the ideas they give you, also you will "click" with them. My accountant takes a very close interest in my business (and so should yo), he rings me at least twice a week and is always giving me advice and ideas. You could also try registering here http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/forums/index.php its free and you can get loads of free advice, also if you ask for a local accountant chances are one or two are on there, A good accountant is worth their weight in gold and will save you more than they charge!! best of luck
Answer 3 :
look the persn tht have work before taken the person to work with u
Answer 4 :
I have used three accountants in the past, one was excellent and the other two were unsatisfactory. Now that I am a trainee accountant your question is still difficult to answer. But I will have a go. 1) I would take advice from business link. 2) Look at the website www.icaewfirms.co.uk (select category that matches your needs) 3) Learn some basic accountancy skills. Learn as much as you can. You will not be doing it. ROCE etc 4) Think along the lines of avoiding bad ones instead of finding a good one.

Where can i delete, or edit, what have you my msn address from my old xbox live account and add it to my new one?

I'm afraid you can't change the e-mail address. Once an account has been set up with an e-mail address, you cannot delete it or edit it. You'll have to create a new e-mail. I understand how annoying it is because I wanted to change my e-mail address and it doesn't let you choose a different one. Sorry and all... Happy Gaming....!

How can I work out what career to do for the rest of my life?

How can I work out what career to do for the rest of my life?
I am 23, have a degree in accounting although I dont want to pursue this as a career. For the last 2 years, since i left university i have been doing different temporary jobs involving basic office work but im ready to move on to a "proper job!" I am currently looking through jobs on learndirect.co.uk which is quite helpfull. anyone have any advice on how i can work out what to do? any websites etc? how did u work out what you wanted to do?
Careers & Employment - 8 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
mmmmm... Most people move forward in any case. What I was doing 15 years ago is different to what I do now. I am in the same industry, but now I teach my skills and knowledge rather than use the skills I learned as I used to. What I am saying is, become an accountant! And move around! Earn a good salary and then look out for vacancies such as a branch manager or teach the skill that you have back to students... etc
Answer 2 :
To be quite honest, to find out what you want to do is trial and error. You are not the only one in this situation. People get degrees in one thing and find out that they want to do another. My advice is to talk to different people about what they do (how long of a education, salary, if they really like it, etc). But first, try to narrow down the field. Like, being in Health, Finance, Law, Education, Fashion, or such. Also, do some research in different areas online. There are ample amounts of information out there.
Answer 3 :
You can earn alot of money in accounting, though i can imagine it being v. boring so i can't blame u there. U have a degree, that will get you into many jobs.u could try fast tracking into the police force, because u have a degree u would be fast tracked into standard or specialised roles.Only u can answer your question, u must have an idea of the sort of thing u want to do.I'm very much the same, 21 and doing all kinds of work from plumbing to building driving and i'm still not sure.
Answer 4 :
I was in my 40s when I decided what I really wanted to do!! Too late!! The best advice I can give is to work out what you realy enjoy doing, not necessarily academicaly but in life in general then look at what job opportunities there are. Life isn't all about making money it's about being happy. Good luck whatever you decide to do.
Answer 5 :
Most people never find what they wanna do. There's two types of situation in this world: A) People who love they're job, so $ is not even a concern. B) People who run the gamut from indifference to dislike on their jobs, but use the $ they earn to enjoy life outside of work. Most people will NEVER be in category A, so keep trying the B's, and make your decision on whether or not that can keep you happy. I've worked an A job before, but in my current B job, I make a lot of money, so I'm okay not loving what I do because I like the $ that's coming in.
Answer 6 :
I am also having this problem I am 23 and am studying towards my AAT to get into accounts. However i have recently got a job in accounts and I am hating every moment of it, am now having doubts if this is actually the career that i want to pursue, but I know this earns very good money. However job I just left was just doing administrative work for a bank yet I really enjoyed it but money was really bad. So I know what your going through.
Answer 7 :
You're right that it's time you did something, even if it doesn't turn out to be the career you spend the rest of your life in. You can get a lot of jobs based on being "a graduate" and you're not restricted by an Accountancy degree in the same way as you might be if you had something like Handbag Design Studies. It's a good subject that will impress an employer. Your default option, with that degree, is to sign yourself up for three years as an audit trainee and get an ACA. Once you have that, you will always be able to find a good job - which gives you a nice safety-net should you decide after the three years that actually you want to be an actor or whatever. You sign a training contract but it's not like it's the Army or something. Most people don't know what they want to do. Even the ones who say they do, half the time they're just parrotting something that their parents have drilled into them or something that sounds good to them but they don't have the insight to know whether they'll like it once they get there. So don't feel inferior - but at the same time, don't feel special either. It may well be that there is NOT a calling out there just waiting for you to find out what it is. Don't wait around for inspiration to hit you in case it never does. If all else fails, go for the money as your default option. You have just embarked on your 45+ year working life and what you do in the first few years can close as many doors as it opens because of the sort of person it makes you look like to a future employer. You can always pack in your high-flying career in accountancy after ten years in order to go mucking out elephants at the Zoo, but you cannot usually do it the other way around. Me, I fell into this job after messing up my degree. I started as an office junior in tax, and however-many-years later I'm a senior person in tax. While I wouldn't carry on doing it if I won the lottery, as jobs go I like it just fine and the pay is great.
Answer 8 :
if u still are unsure if accounting isn't for u then try some free career tests at joblinkinfo dot com and if u r they have a section for jobs in the uk as well 2 better assist u good luck

How do i account for Stock Options as a gift from a customer?

How do i account for Stock Options as a gift from a customer?
uk question. I know how they work if you are an employee. However, i'm a director and basically work for myself. One of my customers has paid me in full for the service i provided. I know i need to account for this in this tax year. However, they also gave me stock options that mature in 3 years time provided i don't provide my services to thier competitors. fair enough. So when do i account for these stock options ? I can't do it this years as they haven't matured so i don't know what money i've made. I'm likely to vest them in 3 years time as the options already have a a healthy profit. Hows that going to work as i've already accounted for the service in full. I'm wondering if they count as a new 3 year service - the "service" being to NOT talk to thier competitors. me ? Confused. I guess i'll have to talk to my accountant but thought i'd ask here to see if anyone knows. my customer is in the US but i don't think that matters....

Answer 1 :
your customer has gifted you a headache. Were they given to you (individual) or your company? If your company, then Corporate Venturing Scheme rules may apply. That's the company equivalent of Enterprise Investment Scheme (NOT the means of giving shares to employees - that would be Employee Management Incentives - sorry I got myself confused). These may be difficult to classify as "approved" options, which would allow you to put them under CVS or EIS. If you can't do that, you may have to pay tax now on the value of the shares now, then pay tax later on the uplift. All of that would be taxed as income (individual) or I guess profit (company). Sucks. You DO need your accountant on this one. If you CAN put them under EIS or CVS, you're sorted.

Hi, I am currently on holidaymaker visa which I can take contract jobs for 1 year. Expected to earn more than 35,000 per annum, tax rate of 40%. Is it advisable to go through the hassle to open a limited company or go through umbrella company under the IR35 to tax savings? Any good agencies to recommend for limited companies opening + accounting or umbrella companies? Thanks

How long does it take to receive a payment into a pay-pal account and does this guarantee the funds are yours?

How long does it take to receive a payment into a pay-pal account and does this guarantee the funds are yours?
I'm selling some items on ebay and awaiting funds from the buyers into my my paypal account. How long does this process usually take (first time seller) Also, when the money appears on my paypal account, does this guarantee the funds have left their account and are now securely mine? Or should I wait until I have transfered my pay-pal balance to my bank account before shipping items? I hope this makes sense.
Personal Finance - 5 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
I get my payments instantly, it depends on if the buyer pays immediately. And once they're in your Paypal account, they're yours. I wait until the buyer gets the item and is satisfied tho, just in case they want a refund or something...
Answer 2 :
If the buyer pays through their bank account, aka wire transfer, then you should receive the money almost instantly. If they pay through credit card or e-check then it will take 3-4 business days. Once the money is deposited in your paypal account then it is your money. You should ship your item once you receive the money in your paypal account. The only way that you can then lose the money is if the buyer claims that you didn't ship the item and paypal awards them their money back. For that reason, I highly recommend requiring insurance and keeping the tracking number on all items that you ship.
Answer 3 :
Login to your paypal account and click the details link on that payment. If you have not had instant payment it generally means you have been paid by an echeque. An echeque will take between 5 and 10 working days to clear in your paypal account and you should not dispatch any item until the payment is cleared. Paypal will email you to say you have cleared funds. It is a good idea to email the buyer to tell them they have paid by echeque so that they know it will take extra time to clear. When selling on ebay and the buyer pays with paypal funds are normally instantly available in your paypal account. This is the time to post the item, you do not wait to clear in your bank as paypal is technically another bank account and the money is yours. HOWEVER> The buyers can claim that money back under certain circumstances such as item not received ( lost in the post). To avoid this you should post all items using a recorded service. But again low value items are not worth the extra postage costs for recorded delivery so you should ask the buyer to wait a little longer and if still not received be prepared to refund the full amount and then claim for the loss from the postal service used. Communication is the key to successful ebaying.
Answer 4 :
If they fill a dispute, and PayPal agrees with them, it won't matter if you have transferred the funds to your bank or not, PayPal will refund the payment and you have already authorized PayPal to charge your bank account. Once the funds appear in your PayPal account, the buyer has to win a dispute though PayPal to get the money back. If you can provide documentation that you shipped the item, you should have no problems. If you don't ship the item until the time for a PayPal dispute expires, YOU have provided legitimate grounds to file and win a dispute.
Answer 5 :
when a buyer buys something from you and pays by paypal by an echeque. you have to weight for a week because of the funds need to clear. the buyers payments goes throughout there bank, then there paypal to your paypal. sometimes the paymets you will recive some you wont, so DONT post the items yet wait and take ebays advice. hope this helps ;) thanks

How much time will take a money transfer from Germany to clear into my Abbey bank account?
I am waiting a money transfer from a customer in Germany to be cleared into my Abbey bank account. It's been 3 days now and still no money in my account. Did anyone knows how much time I must wait?
Personal Finance - 1 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Hi Shefu, I have had money transferred into my Abbey account from a number of countries and of course the time period will depend on the service used for the transfer - for example whether that is BACS, CHAPS, wire transfer etc. However I generally receive funds within 24 hours and last year I received funds from Europe literally within a couple of hours so 3 days sounds very suspect to me and I would chase Abbey to see if they have any news on it. The only delay I have had was when someone tried using the wrong international routing number which you can get off the Abbey website to be certain you've given them the right details. All the best, Richard http://www.DebtAssistanceGuru.com

I made an xbox live account a while ago, that I never really used online. Now that my current account has messed up and I can't use it, I would like to use this one, but my problem is that I only know the gamertag. Is there anyway I can find out what the email address linked to the account is WITHOUT being already signed into the account on my xbox already?
Xbox - 1 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
No. You have to have some idea what the email was. Do you know at least what the server was? Yahoo, Gmail etc. I would start there. Try and figure out the emails you have had in the past and try using them. You would still need a password also, so if you can't remember that as we'll then don't bother. Make a new gamertag. That info is there and not recoverable just by asking to protect from someone just claiming they forgot and then stealing other peoples gamertag, and creditcard info etc. If it's old and you didn't care about it before, just start a new one.

what qualifications do you need to work in a bank?

what qualifications do you need to work in a bank?
I have just left School and know am planning to go college to study accounting and maths. I was wondering how old you have to be to work for Barclays, as I Hope to work with Barclays once I leave college. Also I was wondering what qualifications do you need, do you need a degree? Or Would it be ok to start after college?
Higher Education (University +) - 15 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Degree
Answer 2 :
No degree needed, just high school diploma and no criminal history.
Answer 3 :
If you just want to be a teller, I don't think you necessarily need to have any particular financial background. If you want to be a "true" banker (ie. the people who work at the desks and help you open accounts and manage your money and your mortgage), an degree in business, particularly in accounting or finance, is sort of required.
Answer 4 :
A levels, and a General certificate of education
Answer 5 :
You don't need a degree unless you're hoping to enter at a higher level e.g. management. If you're happy working your way up the ladder then college qualifications should be fine. Check their website, it should tell you what you need for each position
Answer 6 :
You need to look up the bank's selection criteria. Some ask for a minimum of 2.1, but some just require a certain number of UCAS points. My advice is to do the research and check what qualifications are required. Careers fairs are always useful (and not to mention you get freebies, nice!)
Answer 7 :
a degree is accounting and maths. you have to finsih that and be atleast 20+ no you need to finish a degree yu cant start after college.
Answer 8 :
none and I mus add Jesus rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Answer 9 :
to be able to count would be quite a good asset
Answer 10 :
Depending on the position that you wish to attain at a banking institution, you may or may not need a college degree. If you are looking for an entry level position, then you may be able to start as a teller, receptionist, or call center representative with a high school diploma. Although you do need certain other qualifications to fit the profile. You should have typing or computer skills, and previous cash register and cash handling skills are a plus. You should have a neat appearance, and professional clothing. Sales experience is also good for your resume, as selling banking products is a big part of most positions in a bank. Teller's are often required to make referrals to customer service representatives and managers because they are the first, and sometimes only personal contact that customers have with their bank. You should also be made aware that a banking institution will check your credit report when considering you for a job. While business management and accounting degrees will help you land a higher ranking position, you can also work your way up from within the company. Some banks offer in house training, although some travel may be involved.
Answer 11 :
I started as a grad with a bank - but there were lots of people who started as a teller or in opperations and work there way up. Also Banking means lots of things - do you want to do retail ? or Business ? or Loans ? look on there websites and see about positions. They will give you training. I had a degree in Economics and Finance
Answer 12 :
Accounting is good, but i know a boy who started working in a bank straight after secondary school
Answer 13 :
Well on the barclays website they don't ask for anything and you can go there straight from school, they train you up etc http://www.personal.barclays.co.uk/BRC1/jsp/brccontrol?task=articleFWabout&value=13434&target=_self&site=pfs
Answer 14 :
I suggest you do a little written research. Something like this------Barclays Bank, Dear Manager, I am planning to study accounting as I hope to work within the Barclays Bank. I would like to kow what qualifications or degrees I need that will help an application for employment. Also at what age will I be able to apply for employment with the bank. Now the bank will show an interest in your future because you have introduced yourself NOW. (RSA commercial Science might be useful?)
Answer 15 :
You need a degree. Im sure you don't want to be a teller in the bank. Tellers don't have to have degree. High School is enough. I don't thinks is how old but what you know and your ability to perform. The qualifications needed to work in a bank are Accountant, Business Manager, Economics with emphasis in Management, Bilinguist etc. But you have to have degree from Business College. So courses in Business Colleges are highly needed since it involves Money.

Answer 3 :
u cant get the account back. even if u wrote a letter to jagex saying ur bro was on the account.. i dunno if u read the rules or not but im sure that's account sharing =/ so i don't really think u have a chance at getting it back.
Answer 4 :
You should visit the appeal offence page on the Runescape homepage (under account). If you log-in, you will be able to appeal and have a chance of getting your account back. However, as the excuse 'my brother was on my account' is against the rules anyway, i doubt anything will happen. Unfortunately, you're gonna have to create another account. Maybe in the future, there's a chance they will unban the account.

Steven L, Don't advertise a site that does crap for you. Also I'm pretty sure that many people that google search "Runescape accounts for sale" will come up with farmer100 I hate Yahoo, Not everybody that plays Runescape has no life. They just play it every so often and they may pay for it so that they at least get more out of it when they do play. I agree that it isn't as good as it used to be but there still is worth to play it. Also as a reply to the ACTUAL question at hand, no you will most likely not get your account back since your brother got on and because he got on they consider it account sharing so they may un-ban it for whatever they did but then they will most likely ban it again for account sharing. Sorry but your pretty much screwed.

How does the Taxman know how much is in your bank account?

How does the Taxman know how much is in your bank account?
Are the banks required to disclose this information to HMRC? I regularly make deposits into a savings account from part time jobs, as I am a student. Am I required to disclose this for tax purposes?

Answer 1 :
yes you are obliged to disclose everything to the tax man. if suspicious the HMRC can access any records they please. If you are a student you should be exempt from paying tax - check that out first. i work for a payroll company and all my students don't pay tax good luck x

Answer 2 :
First, make very sure that is what you want to do, if you delete the account you can never get it back, or use that ID name, either. Any other yahoo programs associated with your mail account will also be deleted. If you are sure: Click on the help at the upper left corner of the screen from the account you want to delete. Help /Account and password /Your Account Info / How can I delete my account
Answer 3 :
Go here: https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user Then do the following: -Login with your current username and password -Select which account that you want to delete -Enter in your password once again for verification purposes -Enter in the anti-spam code; this is to prevent automated submissions -Click Terminate This Account to finish off this process. Once you deleted your account, you can never open it back up again due to security reasons. By terminating your account, you will lose access to your entire Yahoo! ID. Everything stored in your account will be lost during the termination process. All this includes the following: -Mail -Address Book -Answers (your posted content will remain permanently archived) -Messenger -My Yahoo! -Groups -Alerts -Flickr -Any other area that is accessible with your username and password The only other alternative is to let your account lapse after 4 months of inactivity. Go here to read more about it: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/account/account-04.html

How long does a company have to take money from my account for goods delivered?

How long does a company have to take money from my account for goods delivered?
I ordered a cotbed matress and bedding set from a well known company online on the 3/4/07. All the items were delivered on the 20/4/07 but the money has not been billed from my credit card for the cotbed. I have had to cancel my credit card account for a separate reason but have kept hold of the money to pay for it should the company contact me. The cotbed order was fulfilled direct from the supplier and on my order details it says processing in warehouse. I signed for the item when it was delivered but have heard nothing since. I was just wondering how long they have got to claim the money from me?

Answer 1 :
You want to be careful here. A common method of fraud is to do what you have done and companies are wise to this (not suggesting you are fraudulent) When they get rejected by the credit card company they will probably go straight to a court or credit collection agent, this will involve you in extra cost and could affect your credit rating. My advice is for you to take the initiative and go to the company and explain. .
Answer 2 :
That's odd. Usually if you order online with a credit card, your card will be charged within a few days. If you are honest, you can contact the company's customer service department and ask if your payment has processed correctly. Otherwise you can take your chances and see if your payment goes into collections (will impact your credit history). There are no set rules on how long a company has to make payment claims on goods delivered. However, in some places a company usually has only up to 90 days to claim payment unless there are special circumstances. Just do the right thing and find out what's going on.
Answer 3 :
I had a similar experience with a company I placed an order with. It took 3-4 months for me.They will claim the money so hold on! You could try contacting the company to see if it is showing on their records as unpaid. (If they say it was paid, still hold on to the $$ as they will most likely discover their accounting error-as it did in my case) Remember, nothing is free!! They will come after the cash>
Answer 4 :
Can I add another question ? If you tell the company to collect payment, and after 6 months they still have not, are you then allowed to cancel the debit or payment and keep the item ?

How long does Natwest Cheque take to clear to another natwest account?

How long does Natwest Cheque take to clear to another natwest account?
Hi, My dad is writing a cheque for me tomorrow to pay my rent he and i both have natwest accounts. Only problem is Rent is due tomorrow. Will the cheque clear tomorrow because we have the same bank? If i cant have the money the same day i will have to go to a cheque cashing company. Does anyone know what i might need to take? Advice please.
Personal Finance - 7 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
a cheque will take 3 days but will be quicker if your dad phones online banking and its instant transfer within nat west.
Answer 2 :
Not sure, but if he has telephone banking he could call them up and get them to transfer the funds across instantly. That's usually how it works Barclays to Barclays I believe. I think cheques usually take longer to process. Call your bank and find out.
Answer 3 :
The rent will go through your account at around 9am tomorrow. That leaves very little time, if any, for even an electronic transfer. If you've got an overdraft, it'll hit that, or failing that, you will go overdrawn & incur bank charges, which you may not be able to claim back. Outgoings always go through your account BEFORE incoming transactions anyway.
Answer 4 :
It's normal for it to take the three working days - BUT - if you're in the same branch it MIGHT clear the same day ! Wouldn't it be easier for him to use a cash-machine and just give you the money ? For a cheque-cashing company, you'll need ID for yourself - AND they'll charge a fee (somewhere around 2% of the cheque ! So - if you cash a cheque for £100 - Yuo'll get £98 back !
Answer 5 :
As stated above by others.... It will be cashed within 1 working day, (same banks) but how do you know what time the rent is drawn ? if its DD then its done onces in the morning 10am ish then again a 3pm if the moneys not in then its a failed DD but if your late, and have not got a overdraft to cover the Rent amount i wouldnt risk it, natwest will charge you £35 fee for unpaid fee, then another £25 for being overdrawn, I still find it very hard to believe these banks are broke!
Answer 6 :
Write a cheque to pay your rent - that will certainly take 3 days to clear so by that time your Dad's cheque will be in the bank. Phone the NatWest to explain the situation so if there is any overlap they won't stiff you with overdraft charges - let banks know beforehand and they are generally reasonable.
Answer 7 :
Your dad would be much better doing a direct transfer to your account which will credit your account the same day. All he has to do is call Natwest telephone banking and give them his details and then your account number and sort code, the transfer is instant. Alternatively if he does online banking he can do it online under the 'payments' option.
