How do I calculate monthly interest on a regular savings account?

How do I calculate monthly interest on a regular savings account?
I would appreciate if someone could provide me with a simple, yet implementable, formula to calculate the monthly interest on a UK regular savings account. For example, I would like to invest £250 every month for a period of 12 months at a fixed rate of 4% (net) per month. I look forward to applying your formula.

Answer 1 :
If the balance sits for 1 month I would take the balance at the time say £250 and times that by 4% that will give you the interest for the full year then devide by 365 to get a daily amount. Once you have done this times it by the amount of days in the month and that will give you the amount of interest it will generate for 1 month. you will have do do this for each month as the balance will always change if you keep adding £250 each month.

How to open a British bank account while living overseas?

How to open a British bank account while living overseas?
Hi, I'm a British Citizen who currently lives in Korea. I'd like to open a British bank account, but not sure if I can without going into a branch in person and signing forms, etc. Is it possible to do this while living overseas and if so, what bank would you reccomend. I'd like to get a Visa card with the account and more importantly, the ability to withdraw money from other countries. I travel a lot. Thanks for any help. graeme.

Answer 1 :
If you've lived in the UK before, it may be possible to open a new account or re-open your old account with the bank you were with before. However, due to Money Laundering Legislation, you need to provide documentation before opening an account and most importantly, you need a registered address in the UK and proof that you live at that address. You could try opening a HSBC Account in South Korea and use that until you get back to the U.K. HSBC is the world's largest banking group and I believe you can access your account from anywhere in the world with them. However, you should double check that before going ahead with it. At the very least, you will be able t withdraw money from Cashpoints with a HSBC Account. An offshore bank account is another option, but only really viable if you're quite wealthy.
Answer 2 :
There is an account called the HSBC Plus account. There is a subscription fee for this account but, you get lots of benefits a visa card which you would like, and you get free ATM withdrawals abroad. Theres no harm in having a look.
Answer 3 :
You'll either need to go into a branch in the UK with some ID e.g passport and driving licence. They will also need proof of address. You can sign up for an account online but if you do this you will have to send them your original ID documents through the post, you will not be able to photocopy them. So then there is the risk of them going missing. Banks are very strict when opening accounts so these are the only ways I am afraid.
Answer 4 :
If there is a Branch of British bank in Korea approach them: Or write to you British Bank to send a application to open a "non-resident account" for a British national: they will guide you: OR you can get the details in the British banks website: or ask at http://www.bba.org.uk/bba/jsp/polopoly.jsp?d=103&a=143

Answer 1 :
change your password to like numbers..
Answer 2 :
change his password...
Answer 3 :
Tell them to change their password. That's about it :/ And security questions.
Answer 4 :
Tell an adult immediately. I just heard a presentation on Cyber-bullying, and even if now its just little stuff, it may get worse. Even if they are hacking in and just posting stuff non inappropriate, or just changing little things, it could possibly lead to cyberbullying. Tell a trusted adult as SOON as you can! :)
Answer 5 :
Make a new email address and switch the account to that email. Then change the password and dont give it to anyone and also leave the new email just for facebook and dont give it to anyone
Answer 6 :
You can try changing his password, and then... if that doesn't work you can call the police or tell ur parents, or an adult, so that u dont have to go through all that changing account trouble...
Answer 7 :
change your facebook account from HTTP to HTTPS to prevent from hacking. Here are some steps to change it. 1.Go to account setting in your facebook account. 2.Now go to Account security. 3.Tick the box[ ]Browse Facebook on a secure connection (https) whenever possible. Answer 1 :
Place in the /Applications folder, which is shared by all users. Just make sure that it's not in your home folder.
Answer 2 :
In OSX there is a "Shared" folder in you Users folder. Anything placed in this folder becomes public property and can be accessed by all account users (assuming that you have placed access restrictions to applications on other users).
