How long does paypal take to take money from your account?

How long does paypal take to take money from your account?
I've just bought something on ebay that I can't afford to pay for until tomorrow (when I get paid.) What I want to know is whether paypal takes longer than say 6-7 hours to take the money from your account. As if it does I can pay for it now without going overdrawn. Does anyone know how long paypal takes to make payments?

Answer 1 :
i buy off ebay directly through paypal with no balance...paypal will take the money out of your bank account automatically, if they are connected, usually 2-6 days later. Ive never had it process over night.
Answer 2 :
Just email them and tell them you will pay tomorrow :0) Any good ebayer will be fine with this. When I pay it comes straight off my Bank Balance. It maybe different for others but you dont want to risk going overdrawn for something that can wait until tomorrow do you? Hope this helps X
Answer 3 :
PayPal takes it out of your Bank when you click on 'Confirm' ... (it's EXACTLY the same as standing at the ATM taking out cash) If there is not enough in your Bank a/c when you click 'confirm' PP will say 'Payment failed' = I assume it then tells the seller & I assume it lets you try again later .. To avoid problems (eg the seller reporting you as a 'non-paying bidder') I suggest you wait until the money is available before attempting the payment ... IF there was ANY sort of delay, criminals and fraudsters could make (even more) millions out of PP ...

What happens if I put my money in a UK account?

What happens if I put my money in a UK account?
I'm a US citizen and want to do this. I have a regular job I pay taxes on and make extra money as a sports bettor (punter in the UK). I don't want the US government to take that money. In the UK punters don't pay taxes. I just wanna know what can I do to get my gambling money in a UK account.
United States - 16 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
But doesn't the US tax you on your world wide income - and that would include the UK too
Answer 2 :
Lol are you a launderer then im sure its highly illegal you know x
Answer 3 :
I beg to differ mate but yes there is Tax on gambling in the UK
Answer 4 :
They can still track it and take it.
Answer 5 :
Just don't use Abbey!
Answer 6 :
You are responsible for and liable to pay tax on all income, regardless of where the income is earned, in the country where you are a registered tax payer. That is the general law applicable in all EU countries and the USA. What you are trying to do is cheat your IRS service, thereby cheat your own country and fellow citizens and makes you no better then a common thief. And that is the same as being real cheap. EDIT:- People are so out of date. Forget the Swiss thing. No more number only accounts. The Swiss were forced to sign the anti tax haven agreement with the EU and USA fo help fight terrorist and crime dollars. Even the Swiss notify the authorities in the account holders country of residence about the account and of any interest earned. It's all taxed. Even if you open an account in someone elses name they will have to pay tax, so they will want it back from you. The very best thing to do is find a way to hide it in your own country. Also keep in mind that gambling on the internet is illegal if you are a citizen of the USA. You have even more big brother then anybody else in the world. So much for the land of the free, what a laugh!!!
Answer 7 :
Gorgon Brown will find a way to steal it from you.
Answer 8 :
There is a tax treaty between the USA and the UK where they share information including your bank account info. When you open an UK bank account, they will request for your ID which is a US passport. After that, IRS will know you have a bank account in the UK. US government won't take that money but will tax you on your sport winnings. Don't put it in a UK bank account under your name.
Answer 9 :
put it in mine ill look after it lol
Answer 10 :
Don't use Nationwide you will queue for hours, they will start selling books of postage stamps soon.
Answer 11 :
You get taxed. We get taxed for every bloody thing. Swiss account pal. It's the only way
Answer 12 :
If you annoy the CIA you are going to find yourself wearing an orange jumpsuit in a country you have never heard of. If you dick around with the IRS you will WISH you were wearing an orange jumpsuit in a country you have never heard of!!
Answer 13 :
As a U.S. citizen you must report on your 1040 what you earn in the UK. If you pay taxes then you can claim credit for taxes paid in the UK; depends upon tax teaty. You can put whatever you can in a UK account, but you must report your income. One more requirement, if any time in a year you have more than $10,000 in foreign countries you must file Form TD F 90-22.1. File with the Department of Treasury by June 30, 2008. If you are required to file and do not file it, the penalty may be up to $10,000 (or more in some cases). The Form TD F 90-22.1 can be download from www.irs.gov
Answer 14 :
Being a US citizen you are taxed on worldwide income no matter where you earn it. I'm not going to tell you how to avoid taxes, that would be tax fraud.
Answer 15 :
Okay here is the tax situation. As a US citizen the US taxes you on your worldwide income. As the income is earned in the UK, the UK also taxes you. You will get tax relief known as double taxation relief (DTR) as the UK & USA have a tax treaty, basically an agreement that a citizen of either country should not have to pay the tax twice on the same income. The relief will be at the lower rate. For example say you earned interest of £1,000 and the tax rate in the UK is 20%, you will pay UK tax of £200. Assuming an exchange rate of 2 (just for simplicity) this equates to $2,000 interest & $400 dollars of tax paid overseas. If in the USA the tax is 25%, then you will pay $500 tax in the USA but you will get DTR and can deduct the lower tax suffered, in this case the UK tax of $400, so you will end up paying $500. Now lets do the same example but assuming the tax rates are the other way round, UK 25% and USA 20%. In the UK you will pay £250 or $500 and on the UK tax return you would get DTR for $400 tax paid. You would also in the US pay $400 so you end up paying $500 in total, therefore no different.
Answer 16 :
As a US citizen you are legally required to pay taxes on all of your income - having it deposited into an account in the UK would not change this. If you are asking if doing this would make it easier for you to illegally evade taxes, it might, for awhile, or it might not.

What is the worst mistake the bank made on your account?

What is the worst mistake the bank made on your account?
What errors and mistakes have they made on your accounts? How did it mess you up and what did they do to resolve it? If you complained to the bank did your receive compensation? If so, how much?
Personal Finance - 3 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
My bank (natwest) has never screwed up or made any errors, its simply done its job and done it well. Customer service is excellent and i think the best bank to deal with. They helped me out when i was stuck in a bit of a financial rut and have made my banking life easy as pie!
Answer 2 :
it was not a mistake they made, it was like the stupidest rule they made! I was made to pay £10 administration fee for something that I can't remember now, but I didn't agree to it and had told them to stop it. They agreed that I needn't pay it. However, my account was still charged £10, and that made me overdraft £0.02, as I didn't have any overdraft facility, I then was charged a further fine of £35 for 2 penny overdraft (which was NOT even my fault)!!! Anyway, I called them (natwest) and the lady who answered the phone was quite helpful. She promised to return me the £10 first as it was not my wish to have that service in the first place, and then she stopped the fine £35 being takeny from my account. So i guess my account at that time was £9.98 on balance. Haha... Wasn't too bad, was it? I didn't get any compensation though???? But you have got to watch out the bank charges!! it's not legal most of the time!
Answer 3 :
One bank made a mortgage payment one month after I sold my house. They were very apologetic and actually asked me how much compensation I wanted - I said £300 and she said yes straight away. The questions caught me off guard and I wish I had said more. another time I gave the bank an account number and asked them to pay £400 into it. The girl on the desk made a mistake and sent it to someone elses account. The bank said that they would make contact with this person and ask them to return the money and then they would pay it back to me. I said no way, return my money by the close of business, which they did.

yeah, open 2 explorer pages and log into both. Assuming you have IE 7 that is. If you don't, download firefox which will allow you to have mutiple pages open. As for alerts, set that up through outlook.

What happens if an email is automatically forwarded to an account that forwards back to you automatically?
So both accounts have automatic forwarders... Does it keep going round in a loop until your inbox is full up? If so, how quick would this happen? Anyone ever tried this?
Attachments & Photos - 6 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Epic. Imma try this.
Answer 2 :
Somehow, most programs that I've seen are smart enough to realize a message has been auto-forwarded and they don't auto-forward it again. You could try this with 2 Gmail accounts and they don't do this.
Answer 3 :
Most mail systems have blocks built in that will only forward a message a number of times , they do this by stamping a tag onto the mail as its forwarded so this exact situation can not happen and bring the mail server down.
Answer 4 :
ermmm...never happened to me and no-one else i know...... think your on your own mate :)
Answer 5 :
One would fill up. Quite quickly: within a few hours I would guess with a 1GB limit.
Answer 6 :
I believe it will only send one automatic reply each way.

What other accounts besides the bible record Jesus' existence during the time he supposedly lived?

What other accounts besides the bible record Jesus' existence during the time he supposedly lived?
More specifically, accounts that were written during his lifetime. @Corbett - I'm not religious, just curious. @Inigo Montoya - Well, if your last sentence was directed at me, I'm an atheist...so yeah.
Religion & Spirituality - 18 Answers

Answer 1 :
roman records
Answer 2 :
JOSEPHUS AND DO YOU CARE?? Have you even read the Bible?? He is in worldbook too..
Answer 3 :
None. The only ones you hear about are all born after. Supposed Jesus witnesses Josephus - Born 37 CE Phlegon - Born about 80 CE Tacitus - Born 56 CE Pliny the Younger - Born 61 CE Suetonious - Born about 69 CE The Babylonian Talmud - 200CE Lucian - Born 125 CE Phlegon - 2nd century They really do feel the need to lie about this....there isn't a single Roman mention of him at all. He wasn't even a blip on their screen. And as I just pointed out, Josephus did mention early Christians and did make a couple vague references. The one is almost certainly a forgery because a Jew like him wouldn't word it the way it was, and the second is very unimpressive. But in any even the guy wasn't even born until 3 years after the events, so he didn't see them.
Answer 4 :
The easy way to do that is to type in Jesus in....Roman culture German Culture Italian Culture and so on and so forth until you have covered every nation in the world!
Answer 5 :
There are no contemporaneous records of a 'jesus'. When people mention Josephus, they also don't mention he was born 37 AD, well after the date of the 'crucifixion'. Remember: 'christians' are too ignorant to comprehend the meaning of the word contemporaneous.
Answer 6 :
the bible is more than one account it is a collection of 66 book written by 40 authors over a period of 1400 years
Answer 7 :
His existence? Buddhist and Hindu records show he was there during the missing 20 years. What he said? There is nothing written down at the time that he said it. All of what is in the bible is 10th hand hearsay written 100 years after the fact.
Answer 8 :
There are too many to list here.
Answer 9 :
There is absolutely no record of Jesus outside the bible, nothing, zip, nada.
Answer 10 :
During Jesus' time? There aren't any. As with the many that were crucified, Jesus meant nothing special to the Romans. So if he were real, they would have had no reason to record his crucifixion or anything else about him. The only other accounts of Jesus were written way after his supposed death. Josephus wasn't even born until 4yrs after Jesus was crucified and he didn't even write the "Antiquities of the Jews" until the late 1st century, and then the writing only has two passages "possibly" attributed to Jesus. There is Tactus, who “eluded to” the crucifixion of Jesus in Book 15 of the "Annals". But he wasn't even born until 56AD, and the "Annals" weren't even written until 116AD, 83yrs after Jesus death. Two others, Julius Africanus & Lucian of Samosata, weren’t even born until the 2nd century AD. Even Pliny the Younger & Tacitus weren’t born until 30yrs after Jesus was crucified. They are not witnesses, so how can they be credible? As for the "letter from Pilate to Emperor Claudius", that is a pseudepigrapha letter, and not even written until the 4th century. Which means that it’s a forgery. As for Gaius Suetonius Tranquillus, he wasn't born until 40yrs after Jesus death and most scholars believe that his passages on "Chrestus" were about some other person and then passages were later changed by Christian scribes. And as for Mara Bar-Serapion (not born until the 2nd century) he only had one passage that talked about a "wise king" killed by his own people. That is hardly an automatic nod to Jesus. I just find it funny that so many Christians search for "historical proof" then whine about faith and the Bible being all you need.
Answer 11 :
None, if someone claims roman records I'd ask for a source you could check. The earliest writing comes from Josephus who wasn't even born at the time the Jesus figure would have died and records what believers told them. He wrote Antiquities in 93 C.E. which is what those who cite him as historical evidence are referring to. Aside from the fact its well after the alleged lifetime it also has issue of suspected later forgery in the form of added insertions by later church clergy. Additionally, Josephus as a historian wrote down the alleged tales and religious figures of many different beliefs aside from Christianity, he simply recorded what he was told about them. Yet we don't cite him as proof those other religions and their figures are obviously true.
Answer 12 :
The Quran states that he was given a Gospel during his life time from God , yet this Gospel is no where to be found! Other records are all after his lifespan.
Answer 13 :
Nothing compelling or contemporary. Other events that could be confirmed independently like the Star or the insane census that cause Mary and Joseph to goto Bethlehem also have no supporting evidence.
Answer 14 :
Start reading a lot.
Answer 15 :
All of the Gospels were written by men who had never meet Jesus. The earliest gospel was written about 60 years after Jesus death. Paul who contributed much of the standards practices, was not even aware of any of the stories about Jesus life. Moreover Paul`s account of meeting Jesus in a vision, was most likely an epileptic seizure.
Answer 16 :
Please, love. Jesus is a fictional character! There are books about Santa Claus but is he true??? Honestly, I can't believe people in the 21st century are still this nieve.
Answer 17 :
Jesus was mentioned by the Roman writer, Josephus. And he was a pagan...And had nothing to gain by the mention...To Josephus, Jesus was just another Jew executed by the authorities... Makes you wonder WHY his writings survived? Maybe to leave proof...from another source, that Jesus HAD been here.
Answer 18 :
At least 5 writers give extra-Biblical credence to the existence of Jesus within 50 years of His lifetime.

What will happen to the accounts of regular customers if Fortis goes under?
I live in Belgium and Fortis is both my bank and that of my folks. If you know anything of the politics in this country you will understand why I have no faith in our government to fix things. If Fortis goes under, what will happen to regular customers like my parents and me. My folks have mostly their current account, savings and portfolio, I have my current account, savings and a small loan. I'm worried we'll end up with nothing. Can anyone explain?
Corporations - 2 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Under Dutch and Belgian law, only the first 20,000 euros ($29,000) in bank accounts are insured. But i thought i had read that the Belgium Government had said with regard to fortis they would guarantee all savings 100% to stop a run on the bank.
Answer 2 :
UK reply. Understand about not trusting ANY Government! Ours is just as useless as yours! However I thought the Belgium Governemnt had agreed to nationalise it, but I assume at the same time they are trying to sell to another bank? The same as as happened in the UK with Northern Rock, HBOS and Bradford & Bingley. I don't think any Government can afford to let a bank with retail accounts go bust. This would result in everyone going to their bank asking for their money back which no bank can do as they do not literally have enough "cash" to pay out. So far no consumer has lost any savings (shareholders of banks yes, but that is different) in any country. So don't be too worried. You don't appear to be a bank shareholder, if you are be prepared to write that money off! By the way if the bank did go bust (as I say very unlikely) you would lose your savings but your loan will still remain payable to the bank's new owner!

Answer 1 :
here is a list of online virus scans safety.live.com (that was microsoft's) housecall.trendmicro.com symantec.com sophos.com comodo.com...since you have norton give symantec.com a try it is norton's online scanner it has a bigger data base than your onboard antivirus has
Answer 2 :
Your account doesn't have to have been hijacked for it to be used for spam e-mail. If spammers know your e-mail address, they can spoof your address. However, if you want to be safe, it would be a good idea to update your password. Make sure to use something with capital and lowercase letters and numbers (and special characters too if you can) that is at least 6 or 8 characters long (but longer is better).
Answer 3 :
Ok so u seem to be infected with spyware... ONE THING NOT TO DO IS BUY OR USE A CREDIT CARD UNTIL YOU ARE TOTALLY CLEAN... Programs i reccomend to get rid of spyware.. Do in this order... 1.Xoft spy 2.SUPER ANTI SPYWARE 3. Spybot search and destroy 4.Malware Bytes 5.Run another scan with Nortan. 6.Spy hunter Now Spy hunter u have to pay for i think and xoft spy but if u look at some torrent site u might get them eg. MININOVA No im not advising piracy and strongly discourage u to do it and buy the software if you have the money... But google Those programs and run scans with each one/.... Pm if you have anymore questions?
Answer 4 :
Change your password. And possibly your security questions. Are you using browser based email (like Yahoo!, Gmail, etc.) or an email client like Outlook or Thunderbird? If you're using a client, then your computer likely has a virus or is botted. If you're using browser-based, somebody's phished your password, or is just spoofing your account. You could always examine the MIME header of the emails to see if they're coming from your IP. Are you using the latest Norton virus definitions? Antivirus software is useless if you don't update it at least weekly. Run Liveupdate NOW.
Answer 5 :
People can fake your e-mail address if they know what it is. Start a new Google Mail account, and use it. That way, you'll have a fresh start, with no hackers!

What happens when someone tries to pay your wages into a bank account which is closed?
I closed my bank account about a month ago. I just got my payslip from the agency I work for and it is dated that they 'paid in' my wages to the closed account on the 22nd. What would happen? Would the bank send me a cheque or try and contact me to tell me?
Personal Finance - 7 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Bank should notice the agency and cancel the direct-deposit .
Answer 2 :
Not sure how things work in the UK, but in the US, it automatically reopens the bank account. The bank usually just sends a routine monthly statement showing the transaction.
Answer 3 :
The check must have bounced back to company who drew it up.
Answer 4 :
it will be returned to your employer or it will be held in a holding account at your old bank
Answer 5 :
It gets sent back to them
Answer 6 :
It's very likely your employer transfers payments via BACS system to your bank; any incorrect or closed accounts do not accept money and it is credited back to the employers account; Talk to the accountants section at your employer, the money should be sat in their account.
Answer 7 :
If paid by BACS the bank credit the paying company after 10 days. This payment may be by cheque. The other option is that the money is in a holding account with your bank. Contact the bank and the company you work for and you should get your answer.

How do I transfer money from my bank straight into my paypal account?

How do I transfer money from my bank straight into my paypal account?
Or how do I link up my bank account directly to my paypal account please? I'm tryin to get funds into my paypal account quick, the auction ends soon and I don't want to keep the seller waitin whilst it takes 7-9 days to transfer. Isnt there a faster way to add funds to your paypal account? Or have the funds taken directly from your bank?
Personal Finance - 5 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
You need to set up a paypal account and then ask paypal to take it out from your bank account.
Answer 2 :
If you have a paypal account they will take funds from the Bank you set paypal up with.
Answer 3 :
pay with card or make a bank transfer to the sellers account.. if the seller is very genuine. paypal always takes a few working days might help to tell tell the seller about your situation
Answer 4 :
Do you have a credit or debit card? If you add that to your paypal account, you can pay with your bank acct and the seller won't have to wait for the money because they use the credit card as a backup source if the bank transfer doesn't clear.
Answer 5 :
you can add a bank accouit to paypal you tell paypal the routing code and account numbers of your bank then paypal will depost two small amounts to the account then you tell paypal what those two small amounts weere then you have linked up an account note this is not instant it takes about 2 -3 days for the transfer to go though and hope fully you can check your bank account online

How to cash a cheque without holding a bank account?

How to cash a cheque without holding a bank account?
My boyfriend has a problem with his wages cheques. Before he changed his job, he was paid on my bank account (different surname) without any problems, because he hasnt got his own bank account. Now his new emplyer requires a bank account on HIS name. They gave him a cheque on HIS name and we dont know how to cash it now. And there are also difficulties with opening an account for him, cause every utility bill (which banks require) is on MY name. What shall we do?
Personal Finance - 11 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
easy. have him acquire one of those prepaid visa or mastercards;prepaid credit cards. try rushcard from rushcard.com. they allow direct deposits to be directly loaded onto the cards. to cash pay checks, have him go to a payday loan company. they cash all checks for a fee.
Answer 2 :
he should go to the bank where the check came from. if he has some valid IDs, they would encash it
Answer 3 :
I suggest you ask the employer to issue a cheque with the words 'please pay cash' written across the bottom and initialled by the person who signs the cheque. Then you can take it to the bank it is drawn on (the employer's bank) and they will cash it over the counter for you. You may need to produce ID.
Answer 4 :
Is it a crossed check (for payee's account only)? If it is, try flower_82's suggestions. However if it is not crossed, your friend can encash it over the counter at drawee bank if he has valid IDs (I'm sure he has).
Answer 5 :
Why not change one or two of the utility bills over into his name?
Answer 6 :
You will be charged for it but there are place that cash pay checks....like Money tree, check masters... . I can not recall the other ones but they are "Payday loans" retail stores. Call information or check on yellow pages. I hope it helps. Cheers.
Answer 7 :
ITS EASY GO TO WESTERN UNION AND ASK THEN THEY WILL HELP U OUT TRY TO GET IN TOUCH WITH ALL MONEY CHANGERS MY FRIEND WORKS IN (ARY)MONEY EXCHANGE IN LONDON GET IN TOUCH WITH ME AT(FISTFUGUE@YAHOO.COM)THAN I WILL TELL U HIS PERSONAL TELEPHONE NUMBER TO ASK HIM.
Answer 8 :
no way u must have a bank a/c urself or u can go back to that bank where u got ur cheque n cash it out.
Answer 9 :
Get a passport and driving licence and that will be enough to let him open a bank account.
Answer 10 :
Opening a basic bank account in the UK should be no problem if your boyfriend has a full driving licence/passport and a council tax bill. Go into a bank and ask what alternative forms of ID are acceptable. You may have to ring the head office because the moron in the bank knows nothing and cares even less. ( I know, I've been there - you ask a question and it is met with a vacant stare - she goes away for 10 minutes, comes back and she has asked the wrong question!). If you use a prepaid credit/debit card for your boyfriends wages, they will make a charge of around £4.95 a month handling charge and £2.50 everytime he uses an ATM to get his money out. Expensive eh?.
Answer 11 :
Cashing a check at a service like Money Mart will cost a percentage. Supposedly they take risks so you do pay. However if the check is signed by the payee it should be simple to deposit it in your account but the money may not be available until your bank actually has it--few days or a week. With ID, the bank on which the check was written should cash for the payee if proper ID is shown. And that bank may charge a small fee. I have never heard of a bank requiring utility bills in one's name! Sounds ridiculous. Would eliminate many people who live with others. Ask, don't assume. Maybe some do, maybe some are different. Change utility bills to his name if necessary and then change back if you like--inquire about applicable fees first. PS. Noone asking questions is a moron, particularly for use of a preposition that doesn't suit some inconsiderate person's fancy.

Don't, that's really boring!
Answer 2 :
You mean just taking a class or to get a degree? If it is just to take a class, it would be a good idea. It will give you a good understanding of how debits and credits work, business statements, etc.
Answer 3 :
Do an English course first. It's "an" acounting course.
Answer 4 :
Question a bit too vague for a really specific response, that looks like the Union Jack in your picture so I'll assume you're in the UK.... if so, this link is to the ACCA website which will probably tell you all you need to know. Feel free to get in touch if you'd like to discuss. http://www.acca.co.uk/
Answer 5 :
look into quantity surveying... its like accounting but in construction so more focused and less stressfull... comes with added perks such as: There isn't many and we are in a building boom... a HUGE demand and a lot of work... plus a nice pay cheque to boot... Its coming increasingly common place for quantity surveyors to become managing directors of these firms... money moves the world and constructions starting to click... there for even more money... interesting!!!... accountants usually work for one or two companies in the same industry... repetative boring... quantity surveyors same basic job... same company so you'll hav continuity... different projects... you could be ricing houses one day and the next your working out the cost of the worlds next wonder... prove your skill to find a bargin and sahve a few pennies of the building cost and those pennies will be going in to good memeber of staff's wallet as a nice bonus... who better then the guy that saved them in the first place... seriusly look into it... there are courses up and dwon the country in generall consturction for the basic knowledge of the industry... which you can take into uni or a company and get trained as a quantity surveyor... easy to do and i'll explain more if ya give me a email... just too much to write in one go this late at night...

How do I transfer an account from my computer to my husbands?

How do I transfer an account from my computer to my husbands?
My husband lost his account and so I made a new one for him on my laptop as I find it a lot easier to work on it than on his. Now the account needs to be transferred to his computer. How do I do this please?
Accounts & Passwords - 1 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
You don't transfer a Y! account, you simply sign in to it. The account is not stored on your computer, it can be accessed from any computer with internet access from anywhere in the world. You may need to download and install items like Messenger or Y! Toolbar onto his computer if he's not already done so, these are applications which run on your computer.    Go to http://yahoo.com or any Yahoo! page then click the sign in link, if already signed in then sign out first, afterward you'll be able to sign in to the other account.    Please remember that once 4 hours have elapsed since you've asked your question you are able to select a Best Answer. If any response you receive to any question satisfactorily resolves your issue please select it as Best Answer instead of allowing your question to go to voting. This adds helpful information to the database which may later assist another user and returns three of the five points you spent to ask this question. It also removes the potential for vote fraud.

Generally EU residents can work in the UK without any restrictions, however I am not sure about your professional qualifications. I think here it's ACCA, maybe it's best to speak to them to get a good idea. Or possibly agencies like Robert Half, Michael Paige and Hays Accontancy. All the best. p.s. I notice from your question that your english probably needs polishing up, you could benefit from doing an English course, check with the British Embassy in france or your local college. You would probably get a job easily and communication / grammar / language could be an issue if you need to do reports etc

How long does a Paypal transaction take to show up on your account?
I tried to order something earlier, and when I went to confirm I got an error page saying the transaction didn't go through. I'm worried though that the funds will still be deducted from my account. If I am getting charged in error, how long will the Paypal transaction take to show up on my bank account?
Personal Finance - 1 Answers

Answer 1 :
Hi, if you go to your paypal account and check activity, if it went through it will be there. The actual transfer from your bank or credit card, linked to paypal, is usually showing by the next day. You always get a final confirmation payment screen when you use paypal. I have had "failed" transactions for whatever reason before and when I've checked, nothing had gone through on Paypal.

Its not my main email, just an email i used to use for when i used to sign up for junk. I still use it because some good things come through every now and then. But i keep getting emails saying My Lloyds account will be deactivated within 24 hours, or my HSBC account has been closed. And im sick of getting them because im not even with those banks! I use Hotmail, and i block everyone of them that comes through but it doesn't seem to work. What can i do?

We all get them. Just mark them as Spam and sleep easy.
Answer 3 :
Using Hotmail or similar it is always a good idea to create a new account from time to time and abandon the old one to the spammers
Answer 4 :
Have you ever opened one of these to see what they say about "your bank account?" If so, that's why you keep getting them. Every time you open a spam like this, you send a notice to the spammer that yours is a real, live email address, and that's the biggest part of the information he wanted in the first place. So, thereafter, you continue to get the same kind of spam -- more and more of it. NEVER, and I repeat, NEVER open spam. You are just asking for more of the same. Put it in your spam folder and get on with your life.
Answer 5 :
if they are from the same addresses, just add their e-mail addresses to your 'blocked' list We all get them, so you're not alone

I am currently trying to lose weight and am really very puzzled as to why my weight can fluctuate so much in a very short time. For example; On Tuesday morning I weighed 13st 1lb, yesterday I weighed 12st 12.25lb, and then this morning, after eating virtually the same food yesterday as I did on the previous day, I weighed 13st 0.25lb. What are the various factors to be taken into account when do packaging?

What are the various factors to be taken into account when do packaging?
Packaging is very important factor to attract the customer. Lack in packaging will result to lower awareness of our product or service in the eyes of customer. So that, packaging plays important role in attracting customer's attention and encouraging sales. What are the various factors to be taken into account when do packaging?
Other - Advertising & Marketing - 6 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
With packaging, you will put a lot of energy into deciding on the shape, the layout, the typeface and the colours, and often in that order. The general public, however, will respond to it in a different order: the first thing they will in fact register is its colour. On average a consumer takes 15 seconds to make a purchasing decision in the supermarket - not long enough to be affected by even the most seductive copy, layout and typeface, unless the colour has attracted them initially. If you have not got the colours absolutely right, if they are not in tune with the product and what it represents in the mind of the consumer, it will not matter how appealing the other elements in the design mix are, your proposition is dead in the water and the consumer will move on. Therefore if you package your product in the right colours, people will be attracted to it, and buy it. Unfortunately, 80% of new product launches fail, and the colours of the packaging are often a major factor in that failure. Yet when it happens, it often does not occur to anybody that the problem might have been the colours. Even if the thought does occur, having chosen the colours by a subjective process of consensus in the first place, it is impossible to analyse what precisely was wrong with them.
Answer 2 :
There are certain points you need to remember: the information package, teh nutritional value (if there is any), the proper mixing and balance of colors and items/ graphics, and the overall impact or packaging of the product.
Answer 3 :
?
Answer 4 :
The appearance of it has to be appealing, obviously. That totally depends on the product and the marketing strategy for the product. Also take into account the shelf space and the shipping. If the package is too weak the product could be damaged in transit, if it is too heavy, the extra materials will cost, and not as much product will fit in boxes = higher ship cost.
Answer 5 :
Depends on what you class as packaging, I class into 2 fields: 1 : RETAIL packaging : Colourful and attractive packaging which entices customer reaction to purchase. Informative and decorative to promote the product(s) 2: PROTECTIVE packaging : Structurally superior packaging and most protective. Least attractive and not designed to entice purchase. Typically used to ship a product or products. Retail packaging often needs protective packaging to send in the post. You will need to define the sector you wish to use as each provokes very different answers. The main factor when a choice on how you package a product is PRICE - Your budget will govern what design/materials are used for your packaging.
Answer 6 :
The market that the product will be launched in - will it be appealing to local tastes, customs, culture and regulations, is the labelling/language appropriate Is it fit for purpose (e.g. strength, shelf life) Is it environmentally friendly Is it cost effective

only british gas or the county court can order the credit reference agency to remove these entries. write the chairman at british gas explaining the error and demanding the removal of these entries with confirmation in writing. once they've confirmed removal do your own credit search using only experian or equifax (banks don't use anyone else).

How long do I need to wait before adding my bank details to a new Paypal account?
I had an old paypal account that I don't want to use anymore. I removed the Sort and account number, and tried to add it to another Paypal account but it wasn't accepted. How long do I need to wait before the record of my bank details are deleted so I can add them new a new Paypal account?
Personal Finance - 1 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Why do you have more than one PayPal account (that is not allowed unless one is a business account)? Payment sources can only be associated with one personal account, and even if you remove sources from an account, they are still associated with that account, in case of any ongoing issues. That is to prevent people who have a bad reputation, or who have been banned, from simply opening another PayPal account. I even discovered that one credit card cannot even be used to confirm more than one address (the card issuer has both my PO Box and work addresses). So I had to use a different card to confirm my PO Box for postal deliveries. What did PayPal say when you asked them?

What does a current account mean in terms of a bank account?

What does a current account mean in terms of a bank account?
What facilities must it have before it can be called a current account?
Personal Finance - 6 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Typically, a current account is the account where you get your money paid in, and bills paid out. It needs to be able to provide; A cheque book, A cheque gurantee/debit card, and standing orders/direct debits. It is worth noting, however, that you do not necessarily get all of the above features straight away. The bank may decide not to issue you with a debit card until your account has been running properly for six months, or may not allow cheques during the first six months, but, the facility is available. You may even need to ask the bank for a debit card before they will issue one. It is called a "current account" because it is where all your "current" banking activity takes place. It doesn't generally pay any intrest, and is not intended as a place to hold your savings. There are also "Basic" accounts, which people often confuse with current accounts, though these accounts only allow money (pensions, Jobseeker's Allownace etc.) to be paid in, and drawn as cash in person. These accounts don't provide the facilities listed above.
Answer 2 :
current account means you can take out at a moments notice what you have in your account, but there is normaly very little interest on your money in that account, any spare cash needs to be put into a savings account for the higher interest rate
Answer 3 :
I thought that the term "current account" is what the British use to describe what the Americans call a "checking account."
Answer 4 :
there are no strict guidelines - however, it depends on the Bank concerned. In general, the larger banks will offer Immediate Acces (with no penalties). No provision for Overdraft - but hefty charges if you go overdrawn. A poor rate of interest - although some will offer a 6 month enhancement. Some offer free banking, but charge for cheques. Shop around. There is a lot of competition out there. A Bank will tempt you with many offers, just to get your money in their clutches at a very low rate of interest. Good luck. I wish you success.
Answer 5 :
You can open a current account with a bank for the purpose of using cheques to pay your creditors instead of paying them in cash. Or to withdraw on the current account whenever you require cash, so that you need not have to carry too much cash with you. You need to apply by using the bank's current account application form and the bank may want an introducer in order to open it and also require you to pay a minimum amount of money into the account so that you can operate it using cheques supplied to you.
Answer 6 :
well with a current account is a account where a basic intrest rate is applyed applied and there is a debit card supplied to the account.

Is it a good idea to get a student bank account when starting university?
I should be starting university in the autumn and I will be leaving home. I currently have a Nationwide Flex-account and my wages get paid into that account. I've noticed a lot of banks advertising student accounts. Is it advisable to get a student account or is it ok for me to continue using my current account? I currently have a £100 overdraft but it is possible for me to increase this if necessary.
Higher Education (University +) - 2 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :

do you have an overdraft facility with the bank account you've got at the moment? i know you won't be planning to get into debt but the reality is that a lot of students find they need to go into their overdraft at one point or another. if you've got an overdraft there's no benefit in changing accounts really, except that some student accounts give you a small free gift for opening one.
Answer 2 :
no harm opening another account but be careful that you do not get into overdraft for the new account. I would not close the first account either.. Just keep it as I may still need it someday.

How to change Paypal account when someone bought something?

How to change Paypal account when someone bought something?
Someone bought my wii off ebay and i have accidentaly put payment to the wrong paypal account, how do i change the account?
Yahoo! Shopping - 1 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
So when you go into the paypal there is no money right? So the email that is linked to your paypal has been put in wrong in your listing with ebay? If so, then you have to contact the buyer and explain to them the mistake and will they reclaim their payment. You have to send them a Request to Cancel Transaction, which can be found on the Resolution page in ebay. Do not click on open a case, click on cancel, choose a reason why and send to the buyer. You need to do that, so you can get back the final value fee ebay has charged you for selling the item. Make sure to get the buyer to Reclaim Payment, and see if they still want the item. You must relist it...or if the buyer agrees, send them an invoice through paypal. I was trying to see if the money went to someone else's account, or an account that really did not exist because you misspelled the email address that goes to your paypal, which I have done before. That is why the money will sit (on the buyer's end) unclaimed.

What course would you advise me for university?

What course would you advise me for university?
I am not really sure what to study. Should I choose BA Accounting with Economics OR BA Accounting and Finance? Which one would be better?

Controversially, economics is more of a "red-brick" university course, and may give you that little bit more of an edge over candidates, who say, did an Accounting and Finance degree. Hope that helps. If you have a look on www.prospects.ac.uk you can have a look at career prospects and employability rates. Hope that helps.
