I had an account before this one but i forgot the password so i had to create a new account. But i remember the password now and i want to delete the old account. How do i do it?

There are 12 of us planning a trip and would like to set up a bank account so that each of us can save by direct debit each month to give us a lump sum for spending come the trip. What is the best way of going about this

You can try online banking such as smartypig.com to save up for a goal. Or you can just use your bank and direct deposit into that account.

Don't even think about it! Each have your own account. There will be issues with bank charges for unpaid dd's, someone will end up short of money and miss a few payments etc. And the bank will insist that one person at one address is ultimately responsible for the account - they won't send out 12 statements or 12 copies of a bank charge! The person responsible can end up with their credit rating affected if another person bounces a few dd's. EDIT - Well there you go - another reason for not doing it! Steven points out that you could all suffer if one person causes problems. (Thanks Steven, I didn't know that was the case.)

There's no way you could have an account with 12 signatories, which means only 2 or 3 of you at most would be in charge of the account. I am writing to my bank requesting that my accounts be closed. As I am now living abroad and no longer returning to my previous address in the UK, is it possible to request that they send a check of my outstanding balances to my current address overseas? Are there any regulations preventing them from doing so? If it cannot be completed, how should I deal with my account balance? I can no longer access my online banking either.

if you try to sign in on another console with xbox live it will ask to download your gamertag and de-register it from the other box, and the same will happen again on the next time you try to log in on the other xbox. basically you can only register your gamertag on one xbox at a time, or it will keep de-registering its self

Here's the thing, I'm going to mexico in April to build houses for the homeless, I need to raise funds fast and I thought that an effective method would be to set up an account on a fundraising website to have friends and family donate electronically. What is the best fixed rate savings account currently available?

My nan is looking to put aside some money (approx £20,000) & we are looking for the best rate. She would like the account to be with a well known provider & she would not need to make withdrawals in the short term (1 or 2 years). The best ideas we have so far are Abbey/Bradford & Bingley which do 4% but with monthly deposits necessary. SAGA have one at 3.5%. Any recommendations please... Thank you!

This means that if the building society goes bust, and none can claim total security these days, although they all will, the British Government guarantees your money up to £50,000. ICICI Supersave has the best rate today. They are covered by the FSCS but they are an Indian Bank, and if the Indian government offer a higher protection, they must pull out of the British protection. This is a worry as any guarantee is only as strong as the government that gives it. For complete peace of mind go for one of the big names.

It was a Runescape account if that is of any relevance. I've got it back now. I've never told anyone my password and it's not a password I use with any other accounts.

So u can check all the emails in your primary yahoo mail account only. 2)Now login to your primary yahoo mail account and Go to Options, select Filters,Click Create filters,Go to To/CC header section and paste your secondary yahoo mail address and give filter name as your yahoo mail id without @ &.com and choose folder and same to ur filter name, so as to remove confusion. So all the secondary email id mails will be seen in a folder and not in inbox of your primary yahoo mail account.. so that it will remove clutter and mixing of mails of different accounts. 3)Now login into your primary yahoo mail account & Go to Options and select accounts and select create accounts and follow instructions & add your secondary email id..and confirm it...So that you can compose emails so that you will have option to select from which id you want to send email...... I hope so...it will take time but saves a lot of time latter so that you need login into your other yahoo mail account.... The easiest way is Paypal! You and the recipient need to have Paypal account. After the money is transferred through paypal, then again da cash is tansferred to you Bank account.o you Bank account.

Your bank will be able to help you find out the whole of the IBAN (since you already have most of it, on the bill you want to pay). Don't think that you can make an International Bank to Bank payment online. I know you cannot with Barclays. You can do an International Transfer, from any Branch of your Bank. How do you transfer an iTunes account to a computer without iTunes?
Sorry, does that make sense? The deal is, I had an existing itunes account with songs and things on my laptop. But then the laptop broke, and I want to transfer all the songs to another computer. All the songs are on my iPod, so I was thinking I could just sync it up. But this computer doesn't have itunes. What should I do? Well, what should I search for then? That answer really wasn't helpful. I already searched for it but can't seem to find the correct keywords or phrasing for my problem.

To be Sharia compliant, a bank account must not offer or demand the payment of interest. Obviously banks are quite happy to keep anyone's money without paying them interest, but they won't loan money without payment of some kind. In order to get around this, technically the bank doesn't loan money, but instead it buys the item for you. You rent the item from them whilst saving up in your non-interest account until you can afford to buy it outright - usually but not always at the original purchase price - from the bank. Obviously this is just a form of words, but it's enough to get around the interest problem by calling it rent. So the change of wording is enough to satisfy Muslims, but in reality it should be no different to paying interest on a loan. One possible difference could be that if the bank did buy something that increases in value - a house for example, when you'd saved up enough money to pay off the original purchase price there would be nothing to stop the bank insisting that as its value has gone up, they will raise the price, despite the fact that you've already been "renting" the item from them.

What should a good set of first year company accounts show?
What should a good set of first year company accounts show?
What should a good set of first year accounts for a Ltd Company show? Ideally profitablity but this is rare for a one year old company. Other then that - is it sales? Or a commitment by the executive directors to the company by taking lower salaries or investing their own money and thereby demonstrating their long term dedication to the company? Especially from the perspective of a potential investor or client - what would put you off or attract you to a company on the strength of their first year accounts?

If I were a potnetial investor I'd want to see steady growth in revenue, diversity in revenue streams, capital expenditures, and yes reasonable salary expenses. Profitability wouldn't be as important, especially if the cap-ex is there. Probably the biggest thing that would turn me off is struggling revenue and an overall lack of creativity

Just steady growth , a first year is used to establish a company , by the end of that year you should have a solid customer base to work from and accounts would show a probable future income rather than a possible one . The commitment you describe would very probably be seen as clinging on in desperation to a failing business by any potential investor , successful companies do not depend on personal sacrifice to stay in business .

Today I've had over 100 emails, most of which are spam yahoo accounts trying to add me on their profiles. Any way of stopping this as it's annoying!

Use the Filters in your email to filter out what you don't want and if one does get through just press the spam button and it will be moved to spam every time you get one from that sender.

Since more than a week quite a few users have reported the same problem, it seems to be a new way of spamming, where once you accept the connection, the user posts the link to a pornography site. Be very careful, since such websites have been known to plant all sorts of malware on your harddrive! What you can do is this: 1: Go to "My Activity" at the top of this page, click "Edit My Preferences" -> click "Privacy and Communication". Scroll down and click "don't share my updates", hit submit. 2: On the mail screen click "options", at the top of the list unmark "enable updates", click "save changes" at the upper left. That may not stop all requests immediately, but it will slow them down considerably!

Read these carefully and then proceed by clicking the 'here' link at the end of the paragraph. (3) At the next screen, click the Submit button to continue and then at the next screen, type in the password associated with the account that's going to be deleted and then type in the required capture words. This is now the last chance to cancel. Still want to delete the Facebook account? Click the Okay button and after a moment the Permanently Delete Account dialogue box appears. Hiya everyone I've ordered a beautiful outfit from a german company and they want me to put money into there account how do I go about it?

Get their account details and go to your bank with them, they will do the rest! Obviously you need to tell tham what you want, dont just hand over the other account details.

You can do it from your bank, but there's a fairly hefty fee, we're talking $25-50. Try asking if they will accept Paypal. If so do a Google Search for Paypal and you can join up in about ten minutes.

No.2 You could pay by wire transfer which you can arrange through your bank (but they may charge you a fee for the privilege of this process). No.3 You could pay by Euros (as in draw the exact amount in sterling cash at your bank and then have the funds converted into a Euro cheque by your own bank) This is a good method because it ensure the safety & security of your funds. No.4 You could pay by sending either Euro bills or German Deuchmarks bills (paper money) This is the most risky way to send funds. I have done this myself but only with low cost items I wanted to purchase in the US, you should send funds very carefully packaged and send them by swift airmail so they are insured & tracked. How much do chartered accountants earn in the UK, both for companies and self employed?
I am starting a degree in Accounting at uni in September. How much do you think i'll be earning once i am chartered.

A lot of work till then. Only 4 years of Uni, and 3 years of professional exams if you get a job that is. Between £30-£40k. Terribly boring job though. Enjoy!

It all depends on where you are and what sort of company, and if you're self employed your client base. The best money is in the central london / city companies, I know a guy in London at a big firm who earns about 150 K (after 10 years), he works about 60 hours a week though. I know a guy from uni who stayed up north and works at a much smaller company, he's on about 40 K but loves it up there. I also know a guy who works as a public sector accountant and earns about 40 K but with a 35 hour week. It's a huge industry.

How can you show commitment and motivation towards your work and why is it important?
I am currently studying for my nvq2 in accounting and this is one of the insane questions that they are asking.

Turning up on time, staying on until job is done if that means staying late, making suggestions for improvements, taking on extra tasks

It's actually a very apt question, in my opinion. You manifest this by finishing jobs not just saying whatever and leaving things undone right at 5 PM - and by noticing things that may need fixing and bringing them to your supervisor's attention.

If you want to avoid unnecessary politics, open your own office. Politics in the workplace are unavoidable, unfortunately.

Unfortunately there isn't an organisation that is void of "unnecessary politics" politics - as in power struggles is par of the course. It always is when money and ambition and control are involved. Newer organisations tend to have less harmful unpleaseant power struggles but i find that they tend to develop within a year. Dealing with politics is a skill in the same way that being a team player is. Being able to deal with team dynamics effectively as a colleague or a leader is a form of politics - you have to negotiate, be tactful, sometimes be forceful and sometimes tow the line. It sucks sometimes but thats the real world.

Every workplace in the world, no matter how big or small, has office politics. Where human beings are together it's unavoidable. The trick is to learn them fast. What makes organisations good to work for is not just the salary and benefits package, but the actual relationshps with colleauges. If you don't all manage to get along (and that doesn't mean you all have to be bosom buddies) then it can make for some very long days. Learning the politics is the key.

In my experience there are two kinds of politics that go on in companies - the type which is open and understandable and the type that is done through insecurity, spite and for general issues related to dysfunctional people and organisations. Oddly enough the company that declared to me 'there is a lot of politics going on here' was the easiest to work with because the politics was out in the open. Those that say 'there is not politics here' will turn out to be full of power players and back stabbers. Or that is my experience. All companies are dysfunctional to some degree, it's more about the attitude of folks you work with. Usually the bigger the company the bigger then chance for the company to be dysfunctional on an ingrained level. The best way to avoid politics is to find a good, balanced small company with a sensible growth rate - that and take your work with a pinch of salt. Most jobs make no real difference to the world so it's not worth getting to worked up about, unless you happen to be a doctor or something that directly affects people...

What is the best bank to open a business banking account if you are contracting as a limited company?
What is the best bank to open a business banking account if you are contracting as a limited company?
I am contracting as a limited company in the financial services industry in London. Because of new regulations, anyone contracting as a limited company must now have a business bank account. Can anyone in a similar situation recommend/give advice as to the best bank to go with in this case? I know nothing about business bank accounts, eg how long do they take to set up, what are (if any) the fundamental differences between a business bank account and a personal on etc.

This depend on your priorities. if you don,t mind bank charges any of the 4 banks can do as there is a good service on all of them. if you want a fix amount of bank charges A&L is good one if you don't want bank charges then Abbey is the best. Hope this help you. Regards Antonio

Hi, Firstly do you have an accountant? What is their advice? Do you really need to be Ltd? What about sole trader.In a partnership? Double accounts and its expensive to run Ltd. My advice would be which ever bank you go with. Make sure its a smaller branch.Not a large city branch.You'll be treated as an individual.And more of a valid customer.The larger the customer base the worse they are. We were with Barclays and although their personal banking side is ok at best.Their business banking is shameful. I have spoken to 4 other people who report the dismal service and poor customer relations .And one was a large accountant firm.Not to mention the bureaucracy of this company. We are with HSBC .Without their help we would not be in business.Superb support and a local manager who cares. I hope this helps a little......
