What happens when someone tries to pay your wages into a bank account which is closed?
I closed my bank account about a month ago. I just got my payslip from the agency I work for and it is dated that they 'paid in' my wages to the closed account on the 22nd. What would happen? Would the bank send me a cheque or try and contact me to tell me?

Bank should notice the agency and cancel the direct-deposit .

Not sure how things work in the UK, but in the US, it automatically reopens the bank account. The bank usually just sends a routine monthly statement showing the transaction.

The check must have bounced back to company who drew it up.

it will be returned to your employer or it will be held in a holding account at your old bank

It's very likely your employer transfers payments via BACS system to your bank; any incorrect or closed accounts do not accept money and it is credited back to the employers account; Talk to the accountants section at your employer, the money should be sat in their account.

If paid by BACS the bank credit the paying company after 10 days. This payment may be by cheque. The other option is that the money is in a holding account with your bank. Contact the bank and the company you work for and you should get your answer.

How do I unlock a previous Yahoo account which has been blocked by Yahoo?
For about 3+years I had an account with a different email address which I used with no problems, Yahoo, in their wisdom, have made this account inaccessible & I have spent literally hours trying to access the account,please help. thanks.

How do I transfer money from my bank straight into my paypal account?
How do I transfer money from my bank straight into my paypal account?
Or how do I link up my bank account directly to my paypal account please? I'm tryin to get funds into my paypal account quick, the auction ends soon and I don't want to keep the seller waitin whilst it takes 7-9 days to transfer. Isnt there a faster way to add funds to your paypal account? Or have the funds taken directly from your bank?

You need to set up a paypal account and then ask paypal to take it out from your bank account.

If you have a paypal account they will take funds from the Bank you set paypal up with.
Answer 3 :
pay with card or make a bank transfer to the sellers account.. if the seller is very genuine. paypal always takes a few working days might help to tell tell the seller about your situation

Do you have a credit or debit card? If you add that to your paypal account, you can pay with your bank acct and the seller won't have to wait for the money because they use the credit card as a backup source if the bank transfer doesn't clear.

you can add a bank accouit to paypal you tell paypal the routing code and account numbers of your bank then paypal will depost two small amounts to the account then you tell paypal what those two small amounts weere then you have linked up an account note this is not instant it takes about 2 -3 days for the transfer to go though and hope fully you can check your bank account online
