How do you delete an xbox live account on an original xbox?

How do you delete an xbox live account on an original xbox?
I've had my xbox live account for nearly a year and it will renew itself at the end of this month. I've decided to scrap the account and just put the money towards an xbox 360, Halo 2 is pretty boring now. My only problem is that I can't see any obvious 'delete account' options in account manegment or any other part of the xbox live menue. So how do I delete my xbox live account?

What is the best bank account for a not for profit organisation?

What is the best bank account for a not for profit organisation?
Is there such thing as free banking for a not for profit? We are not a charity, just not for profit, and looking for the best bank account in terms of low (or no) fees. Some do a year's free banking but we cannot find any that do completely free banking - does this exist? We were originally tempted by the co-op's ethical policies but they aren't so ethical when it comes to allowing Christian groups to speak about what they believe, so that put us off, even though we are not a Christian group. Any advice most appreciated!

If you want ethical try the Co-Op Bank, a decent rate of interest try Alliance and Leicester.
Answer 2 :
Most banks do a "Treasurer's Account" for clubs & societies which is free - ask in your local branch, or check the comparison tables at the link below

What is the best course of study if I want to become a self employed accountant to small businesses?

What is the best course of study if I want to become a self employed accountant to small businesses?
I have worked in IT until now implementing and training accounting packages, and although I studied bookkeeping a few years ago in Johannesburg to help with the IT projects, I am not trained as an accountant. I am currently working as a bookkeeper but know I can do more so would like to become an accountant and offer these services to local small to medium businesses. It has been suggested that I take the AAT courses but am concerned this would not be sufficient to become self employed in this field. Any advice in this area would be greatly appreciated.

When filling out an expenditure sheet for self-employment, what are the best headings to use?

When filling out an expenditure sheet for self-employment, what are the best headings to use?
I would like to make my expenditure sheet as easy as possible to fill in but still covering all possible expenses. I prefer to use Excel format. Does anyone have any suitable ideas preferably from people in the accounting business?
Small Business - 2 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
The easiest way is to use the headings on the Self Assessment Return - these cover all the main expenditure heads and using them will make it easier to complete your self assessment at the end of the year. Make your columns on the spreadhseet in the same order as on the SA form and don't be tempted to put too much into 'sundries'
Answer 2 :
tough one because it varies per business, but ultimately grouped together on the tax return. well heres a few to get you started. plant & equipment (computer, printer, car, anyother assets) fixtures & fitting (desk, chair, shelving, cabinet, any other furniture) purchases printing, postage & Stationery Motor Costs (include insurance, tax, petrol & repairs/mot) computer costs (internet, website costs etc..) wages rates (council tax & water rates) gas electric telephone insurance (say public liability ins for example) professional fees accountancy fees legal fees advertising equipment hire / rental repairs bank charges / interest miscellaneous (anything else) these are a few standard one, but when you complete a tax return form, the above heading will be grouped into about 10 boxes and you will find things like gas, elec and rates go into one box. hope this helps.

How to link a bank account to paypal when it has been disabled?

How to link a bank account to paypal when it has been disabled?
It says my bank account has been disabled from paypal and if i want to add it i have to fax them the the amount they put in etc , but i dont have a fax machine is there any other way i can do this? Thanks ^_^
Personal Finance - 2 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Who disabled the account? Was it PayPal or was it your bank? PayPal doesn't accept faxed documents; they do everything electronically. Sign into your PayPal account & scroll to the bottom of the page. Click on "contact us". On the page that comes up, click on "call us" and you will get a PIN number to use that identifies you as the account holder. They will give you the phone number and hours of operation, and you can call them and ask what you need to do. You must have that PIN number when you call, so if someone just posts the PayPal phone number here it will not do you any good. You must go through your account to contact them.
Answer 2 :
This does not seem very likley - have you received an email ??? (and clinked on a link sent to you in an email ???) == if so, you are being 'phished' ... Go to PayPal by typing in the address - if you get in, change all your passwords ... if you can't log-in, PANIC NOW ....

How do i apply for a job that I have no experience for?

How do i apply for a job that I have no experience for?
I have a degree in Business and IT. However I have seen a job advertised for a Accounts Assistant and would like to go in this direction. I haven't got any accounting experience whatsoever! However this job says they will train you. I need to write a personal statement but don't really know what I should include as I have no accounting experience. I know I can write about "transferrable skills" but can someone help me out with the layout? The statement is 300 words maximum.
Other - Careers & Employment - 6 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Now why would you want a job that you have no experience for at all?
Answer 2 :
Honestly, if you want to get into accounting you need to have a degree or background in there. They will never hire you and you will not understand basic accounting principles. I know it seems like a good job, but it's not the right one for you.
Answer 3 :
First, have you worked before? Secondly, have you read through the job descriptions, and do you think you can handle it. Yes you can write transferable skill, but highlight the areas where have achieved or completed a project successfully. Since its an assistant role its more like starter level. At the end include the fact that you are willing to learn and take instructions to take you to the next level.
Answer 4 :
Think about the requirements needed for the job: probably numeracy and proficiency in Excel, right? Then take examples from your experience that match these requirements. That way you're can show you're suitable!
Answer 5 :
resume reasserts in the persecution. person of good carrotier seeking employment. US Citizen. No Felony's. seeking stating Passion's.
Answer 6 :
you have no choice but to study and get a qualification in accounts. Even if an employer says they will train you they tend to just put that down as a formality and with the high number of jobless who do have some accounting experience they are much more likely to choose one of them than you as it saves them a lot of hassle as they won't have to train them from scratch if at all.

First by saying you need help, be calm and polite. Approach the person who you think can help you and explain your problem. You to to say you realise they are busy but would be grateful if they could assist you when they have time. it is important because when training you need the help of those with more expertise than you. Also by negotiating you are learning a skill which is valuable through the whole of your life. Good luck with your NVQ.

How does a sole trader account for assets they personally owned prior to the start of their business?

How does a sole trader account for assets they personally owned prior to the start of their business?
For example, I already own a perfectly good computer, but I'm guessing I need to account for it somewhere as an asset of the company. Would it show up as £0?
Small Business - 1 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
You need to get the terminology correct to start with. A "company" is a specific legal entity that has to be registered and comply with much statute and regulation. As a sole trader you are running a "business". A sole trader personally owns all the assets of his business. By accounting for assets I assume you mean offsetting their value against tax by claiming capital allowances? If so, if the asset was already owned then you can take its starting value as its value at the time you started using it for business purposes. EG if you bought the computer for £500 2 years ago, its reasonable value now might be £100, so its opening value would be £100 then you claim capital allowances in the normal way. With any assets, if they are partly used for non-business purposes then your capital allowance is reduced by the relevant portion. EG if 50% of your use of the computer is non-business then you can only offset 50% of the normal capital allowance against tax.

How would you go about becoming an investment banker once graduating from university with your degree?

How would you go about becoming an investment banker once graduating from university with your degree?
I have just got into a top university- London School of Economics to take an accounting and finance degree. It is my dream to become an investment banker. Once I graduate, what is the best way of becoming one?
Investing - 3 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
1. Make sure to keep your GPA as high as possible. Firms look at grades as much as what classes you are taking. If you're going to get less than a B+ in a class, drop it. Find out which profs are easy graders. One man's cynical and opportunistic behavior is another man's idea of good planning. 2. Get in the habit of reading the business section of the WSJ or (even better) the FT. Having a sense of what the big deals are, and what the big financing trends are (IPOs, M&As, LBO's) shows that you are interested and knowlegable about the industry. You never know when you're going to meet someone who can help you. 2b. Books. There are several books that invole Investment banking and trading culture, and everyone who applies is supposed to have knowlege of them. These include Bonfire of the Vanities, Liars Poker, and Barbarians at the Gates. There are probably some more recent selections. 3. Join whatever "evil capitalist club" your university has. Many have and investing club, or something of that sort. Also, check into whatever the LSE version of the fraternity system is. If you find one that shares your interst you'll meet upper classmen who can get you interviews when you're leaving school. Plus its a good time. 4. Summer Internships. You will be on your own until junior year, then the formal internship program will begin on campus recruiting. In order to set yourself apart, find something in the preceding summers that is financial services related. You want to have a work history that documents your interest in the field and ability, to the extent possible. 5. Interviews. There are books out there that describe in detail what to expect and how to prepare for an interview. Your on campus recruiting staff can help you find them. Get the most recent one as practices change every year. Landing a good summer internship after your junior year is the best thing you can do. At the end of that, if you do well, you'll get an offer, which you can in turn use to leverage offers from even better places. Good Luck!
Answer 2 :
Have your compassion and human feelings surgically removed
Answer 3 :
Once you graduate is *way* too late - you need to get an summer internship at an investment bank after your penultimate year. But getting that internship will be tricky too, you'll need to have decent work experience, strong grades, and strong activities. Start now, by getting a summer job before uni (or if you're off travelling that's ok too, but make sure you get a summer job after your first year). It doesn't really matter what the job is at this stage (i.e. it can be McD's, obviously something relevent would be better - but you'll learn plenty of invaluable skills in retail as well). At uni get involved with societies/sport clubs/student paper (take your pick) in your first year, with the plan of getting onto the committee that runs it in your second year (getting an elected role like president, treasurer, etc. looks good on your CV). Most of the people you'll be competing with to get jobs at the investment banks will have all of the above, so if possible do something that makes you really stand out from the crowd (something like doing volunteer research work for a think tank, etc. which is unusual but shows your skills) . Read a lot about invesment banking, follow the financial news. There are lots of biographies of investment bankers - read them. Check out financial websites - efinancialcareers.com has a students advice section for getting into IBs. Start reading it now - by the time you're applying for internships you want to be in the top 1% of people applying in terms of knowledge. The internship really is the key - if you complete an internship at a top IB then getting into a bank after you graduate is a _lot_ easier.

What type of savings account do you recommend for saving a deposit to buy a house?

What type of savings account do you recommend for saving a deposit to buy a house?
I am saving up to put a deposit on a house, prob in the next year or two. Do you recommend any particular savings account from a particular branch? Does having an ISA already affect things?
Renting & Real Estate - 8 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
use your ISA, hehe i have 32pence in mine
Answer 2 :
I was gonna say an ISA but apparently you already have one...make sure you use your full allowance at all times...and You could open a Regular saver and deposit something every month....HSBC offer 10% for that kind of savings!!
Answer 3 :
Check out some of the online savings offers at the moment. You can be limited to how much you put into an ISA, but the online accounts have got good interest rates for the amounts of money you can put in. The HSBC one is something like 5.7% interest!!! Good rate for looking after your money and that little bit extra towards your deposit for letting them do it!!!
Answer 4 :
Do you mean an IRA? If you already have an IRA, there's a possibility that you could take up to $10,000 out of the IRA without penalty to put toward the downpayment on a first home. (Check out the article linked in the source box below.) If you also want to set up a savings account (which is a good idea, regardless), I recommend the ING Direct online savings accounts. They don't have any minimum requirements, they pay 4.5% (right now and it's been on the rise recently), and it's very simple to use. I've had an acct there since 2003 and I've been very satisfied with them. http://www.ingdirect.com
Answer 5 :
you can put £3000 per tax year in a cash ISA
Answer 6 :
I'm with ING direct, they offer a great rate of interest (4.75%) and you get access to your money anytime. x
Answer 7 :
you can put up to £3000 a year into a mini isa, and take up to £7000 into ISA on their own, ie all £7000 into an ISA, or a mix of mini and ISA... sorry lol.. that sounds like drivel. There are lots of high interest savings accounts out there, do a search, or check out some financial sites. You can open two or three, and move your money around, as some pay interest at different times, so you can get interest for each day it is in there, or monthly or yearly. Takes some planning, but you can end up getting interest two or three times on the same money! Some of the weekend newspapers will give you tables of the best accounts etc, I know the sunday mail does. Other idea is to go into your local town and visit all the banks and building socities and see what they have on offer. You can also look at bonds, but they will tie your money up for a certain length of time! however, if you can put it into there for a year at the least, you can get a good rate of interest! Good luck in your saving!
Answer 8 :
just completed Barclays 10% regular saver had to save £200 per month for a year got £95.00 ( paid £25 tax !!!! _) interest on the £2400 saved over 12 months not really worth it, no savings account pays high interst these days. Good luck saving for your house

umm if you cant recover it back with the recoveries then send jagex an email. include in the email prevous passwords you remember prevouse recovery details and other information about your account and yourself like where you live and your IP adress cause jagex keeps track of your IP. if you dont know your IP creat another account and when you log in it will tell you. also send them your email adress. when you get your acc back change your password and update your recoveries. change your bank pin also just incase. also make sure you have up to date anti virus and spyware software.
Answer 2 :
Well I had some experiences of trying to recover my account. They were successful and I hope it works for you too. These are good things to know and put in your recovery attempt: - Recovery Questions - All Previous Passwords - Subscription information (if you was a member) - First quest you did or 2nd quest you did Etc. - First Friends you added - First actions when you started runescape (fishing, mining, fighting etc.) - And anything else that you know and somebody can't find out about by just looking at your account e.g. somebody could find out your stats easily. - Internet connection provider used when you first created your account. (If you don't remember everything, then just try your best and put as much detail as you can.) Good luck, I hope you get your account back! If you want my username just email me. I am level 102.
Answer 3 :
To avoid future hacks - have a strong password , put numbers in it make it a long but memorable - Do not share you password even with friends - Don't answer and questions to randoms on the games - there trying to get details from you to hack you - make sure u have recovery questions set they can help you next time you get hacked btw add you can add me on runescape if you want - icecream9000
Answer 4 :
answer recovery questions if you have set them. this is a best way to recover an account. you'll also need previous passwords and member information of you were/are a member. upon getting back your account, change your password, bank pin, cancel any recovery questions the hacker has set (important). good luck!
Answer 5 :
tell them the lvls on ur account it worked for me and like the first quest you did and mabey the first mini game
Answer 6 :
-Enter your your recovery questions if you made them -The earliest password you can remember you need at leat 1 -Your new password for your hacked account this info is optinol but if u full them out youl more lickely retrive your account -When did you create this account -What internet provider did you use to connect to the internet when you created this account? -Have you ever moved house whilst in ownership of this account? If so, when -If you have any other details which would help prove your ownership of this account The best way to get back in game faster is to submit the best information you can. You can only submit one appeal for this account until our staff review your information, so please take a moment now to check if you've filled in as much information as you can

You can recover gamertag on the new Xbox than it will ask you for information such as email address and a password. To get this option go onto the new Xbox 360 and hit the guide button, the Xbox logo on the controller, than somewhere on the guide menu (it's usually on the first panel that pops up.) it should say recover gamertag if no one is signed in. Try that, you will have to re download all your DLC though and if you don't have unlimited downloads that may be a problem.
