How long before an american cheque clears in my uk bank account?
I have been sent a cheque for my birthday. It's an american cheque in dollars. I'm lodging it to my lloyds tsb account on Monday. How long will it take before I have access to the money?

In todays electronic world it can occur the same day as they receive it, or they may hold it. It all depends on the institution and their policies. Best answer is to call them and ask.
